Basic 1 Calcium is a specially developed calcium supplement based on high-purity calcium chloride dihydrate, for the easy and safe adjustment of the calcium content in every saltwater aquarium.

Basic 1 Calcium is highly purified and therefore free of any organic and inorganic contaminants.

BASIC stock solution (1 liter):
Pour 367 g in a measuring beaker and fill it with osmosis water to the 1 liter mark. 10 ml of this stock solution added to 100 liters of aquarium water increase the calcium content by approx. 10 mg/l.
BASIC concentrate (1 liter):
Pour 500 g in a measuring beaker and fill it with osmosis water to the 1 liter mark. 7.5 ml of this stock solution added to 100 liters of aquarium water increase the calcium content by approx. 10 mg/l.
Dosage of direct addition:
Add 3,7 g to 100 liters of water in your sump to increase the calcium content by approx. 10 mg/l
FAQ Questions and answers
Since both our MICROBE-LIFT All-In-One and our BASIC-System are independent complete coral care systems, both products should be used individually depending on the needs of the respective aquarium. A combination and thus a double coral supply makes no sense.
- The daily added amount depends on the consumption, therefore you should check the calcium content regularly in your aquarium.
- In case of a direct dosage of Basic 1 Calcium, add it near to the return pump in your sump.
- Use Basic 1 Calcium together with our Basic system for an optimal care of your corals.
- Never dispense Basic 1 Calcium and Basic 3 Carbonate at the same time to avoid precipitation.
- Basic 1 Calcium can be used for balling method.
